Carmen F1 is a mid-season hybrid with a vegetation period of 65–70 days from transplanting. The plant forms a vigorous, compact bush with long, strong stems and a well-developed leaf apparatus. The variety is suitable for open field cultivation, both with and without irrigation.
The Ananas-type fruits have an oval-elongated shape and yellow color with a pronounced netting on the rind. The fruit weight is 3–4 kg. The deep orange flesh has a dense, crunchy structure, with a thickness reaching 5–6 cm and a small seed cavity size.
The hybrid possesses immunity to major diseases and pests of cucurbit crops and also demonstrates good fruit set under conditions of drought, cold spells, and high solar activity. The produce is suitable for transportation and long-term storage, and is intended for sale on the fresh market.
