The variety belongs to the winter melon group. The fruits have a thick rind with pronounced ribbing and characteristic cracks, the color of which varies from dark green to white. The flesh is uniform white in color, juicy, and possesses high sweetness.
The average weight of the fruits ranges from 3 to 5 kg, with specimens weighing over 7–10 kg also occurring. Due to the thick rind, the variety has excellent keeping quality; historically, the practice was to store the fruits in a suspended state until the winter period.
The plant is adapted to the local conditions of the Ebro river valley, including the specific mineral composition of the soil and water, as well as the hot and dry summer. Intended for fresh consumption.
