The variety belongs to the Western-type muskmelon group. Externally, the fruits have a netted rind surface typical for this class.
The variety was developed as a commercial hybrid intended for market sales. During variety trials, it demonstrated consistently high yield and soluble solids content.
Development took into account the resistance requirements typical for commercial hybrids of that period, including resistance to Fusarium wilt and powdery mildew.
