Elario melon fruits have a rounded or slightly oval shape, their surface is covered with a net, and the rind is colored yellow-cream. The hybrid belongs to the mid-season group and is used both in commercial production and as a reference sample in international morphological studies.
During agronomic trials, the variety demonstrated a yield characteristic of the Galia type and was studied for resistance to Melon necrotic spot virus (MNSV). Fruit quality studies recorded the presence of a honey taste and sugar content, while in certain conditions a tendency for fruit rotting during ripening was noted.
