Fruits of this variety are medium-sized with a weight of 1.5 to 2 kg. The fruit surface is dark green, covered with a corky netting, and the shape is oblate and segmented.
The variety was traditionally grown in open field and protected cultivation. Sugar content in the fruits is 3–5%, and eating quality is assessed as moderate. Plant seedlings may contain cucurbitacins, which impart a bitter taste.
