The variety was obtained as a result of hybridization of lines K/15-6 and 5-1-2. The main objective of the breeding was to increase resistance to powdery mildew, the effectiveness of which was confirmed during agronomic trials.
Plants of the variety were used in scientific research as an object for studying reactions to pathogens, including downy mildew, Fusarium wilt, and Verticillium wilt. The variety is part of the Bulgarian collection of cucurbit crops and is intended for vegetable production.
