The Prosper variety (code MC26752) is a melon crop with high vigor and development energy. The fruits are distinguished by an attractive appearance with dark sutures and firm flesh, and possess good taste qualities and storage capacity.
Upon ripening, the fruits turn slightly yellow, which helps to monitor harvest timing, however, sensitivity to cracking in the peduncle attachment area is noted. The variety possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1, 2) and intermediate resistance to powdery mildew (races 1, 2, 3, 5) and aphids.
