The Quijano F1 hybrid belongs to the Piel de Sapo type and is characterized by vigorous plant growth. The fruits have an elongated oval shape, a slightly pronounced netting on the skin, and firm, crispy flesh with a high sugar content. The weight of a single fruit varies from 3.5 to 4.5 kg; resistance to cracking and good keeping quality are noted.
The variety is mid-early and intended for cultivation in open fields, including seasonal and late plantings. The plant is adapted to hot conditions and sets fruit stably. The hybrid possesses high resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 0–2) and Melon necrotic spot virus, as well as intermediate resistance to powdery mildew.
