Venus RZ F1 is a Galia type hybrid adapted for mid-late maturity. Fruits reach a weight of about 1.0 kg. The color change of the rind from green to yellow serves as a ripeness indicator, which simplifies the harvesting process.

The plant possesses high resistance to Melon necrotic spot virus (MNSV) and Fusarium wilt (Fom:0,1,2). Intermediate resistance to powdery mildew (Px:2,3,5) is also claimed.
