Blanka F1 is an early hybrid with a vegetation period of 40 to 47 days. The plant is vigorous, with a predominance of female flowering, adapted to recover from damage. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the open field, plastic greenhouses and under temporary shelters; use on heavy soils and trellis cultivation are permitted.
The fruits are cylindrical gherkins of dark green color with a coarsely tuberculate surface and white spines. Fruit weight varies from 80 to 110 g, the length-to-diameter ratio is 2.8:1 or 3.2:1. The flesh is firm, crunchy, without bitterness.
The hybrid possesses complex resistance to cucumber mosaic virus, powdery mildew, downy mildew, cladosporiosis and angular bacterial leaf spot. It is resistant to temperature fluctuations and moisture deficit. The harvest is suitable for fresh consumption, canning and pickling.
