The variety is intended for cultivation in open ground using a trellis or by growing on the soil surface. In the latter case, the fruits acquire a characteristic shape. The variety is open-pollinated, which allows for the self-collection of seeds for further propagation.
The fruits are primarily used fresh; however, when fully ripe, they are also suitable for canning. Sowing in open ground is carried out in May, June, or July; the harvesting period falls in July, August, and September.
