The «Командор F1» hybrid for protected cultivation is mid-season, with a ripening period of 45–50 days. The plant is vigorous, with a female flowering type. The fruits are cylindrical, weighing 180–220 g, 18–20 cm long, dark green with large, sparse tubercles and white spines.

This hybrid is highly resistant to Cladosporium cucumerinum, powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, and root rots, and moderately resistant to downy mildew. It is intended for spring and summer-autumn crop rotations.

In North American sources, the «Commander» variety is described as a predominantly female-type hybrid for canning with white spines, developed by the Petoseed company.
