Plants of this variety type grow vigorously, have large leaves, and a large number of male flowers. Cylindrical fruits reach a length of 30–45 cm, and the surface is covered with sparse tubercles. The flesh is juicy, aromatic, and contains a small number of seeds.
This variety type is intended for fresh consumption. Regarding disease resistance, variability is noted: in some cases, high resistance to Verticillium wilt and moderate resistance to Cucumber mosaic virus and Fusarium wilt are claimed, however, field trials show variability in the response to downy mildew.
