Variety description

10 August 2026

Dundee F1 is an early-maturing hybrid, with fruiting starting on the 40–42nd day. The plant is vigorous, open-type, forming from 2 to 3 fruits in one node. The variety is characterized by high regeneration capacity and shade tolerance.

Gherkin-type fruits have a cylindrical shape, deep green color, and a coarsely tubercular surface. Fruit length on the main stem is 16–17 cm, reaching 19–22 cm on lateral shoots. The flesh is firm and juicy.

The hybrid is intended for cultivation in protected ground during the winter-spring cycle, suitable for growing on soil and substrates. It possesses resistance to Cladosporium cucumerinum and olive spot, designated as HR: Cca/Ccu. The primary purpose of the fruits is fresh consumption.
