The variety is the result of folk breeding and represents the genetic heritage of the region. The fruits are distinguished by a sweet taste and specific yellow coloration.
This variety is not an industrial hybrid. Seed samples are stored in the Banc de llavors del Vallès Oriental seed bank to preserve agrobiodiversity.
