The Petipikel F1 hybrid belongs to early-maturing varieties with a ripening period of about 45 days. The plant forms a compact bush with short vines, occupying about a third of the area required by standard varieties, which allows it to be grown in containers, on patios, and in raised beds.

The fruits are green, striped, and have spines. The optimal size for harvesting as gherkins is 8–13 cm, while the fruits can reach 18 cm for fresh consumption. The flesh of the fruits is characterized as sweet and crunchy.

The variety is intended primarily for pickling, but is suitable for use in salads. Regular harvesting contributes to increasing the plant's productivity.
