RHINISH PICKLING, also known as Vorgebirgstrauben, is an heirloom variety from the Rhineland region of Germany. It is an early-maturing variety with a maturation period of 55 to 69 days.

Plants are characterized by vigorous growth and form vines 125–150 cm long with light green foliage. Use of supports or trellises is recommended for cultivation.

Fruits are bright green in color, cylindrical or slightly tapered with a bumpy texture. The optimal harvest size for pickling is 7–12 cm. The variety has crisp flesh and exhibits resistance to Cladosporium cucumerinum.
