The variety is mid-season, the vegetation period is about 80 days. The vining plant reaches a height of 1 to 1.5 meters when grown on supports. Harvesting is usually carried out from July to October. The plant is characterized by endurance when grown in open field.

The fruits are large, cylindrical in shape, with a smooth surface. The flesh is firm, less watery than that of a slicing cucumber, with a small seed cavity. It is intended for culinary use, in particular for preparing stewed dishes, soups, and pickling with mustard. The variety is often classified as a cultivar type.
