The variety belongs to the group of peeling cucumbers (Schälgurken) and is characterized by a growing period of about 80 days. The vining plant reaches a height of 1–1.5 m and possesses dark green pubescent leaves of a rounded shape.
The fruits are elongated, cylindrical, without a pronounced neck, with smooth green skin. The flesh is firm with a small seed cavity, less watery compared to slicing varieties. The plant is recommended for cultivation in wind-protected areas with irrigation at the base.
The variety is intended for the preparation of traditional German dishes, such as pickled cucumbers with mustard and stewed cucumbers, as the firm texture of the fruits does not break down under heat exposure. Before consumption, the fruits require mandatory peeling.
