The Karamel variety is a new breeding development of Cucurbita maxima, intended for the production of portion-sized fruits. The variety is oriented toward use in the food industry and culinary arts for the preparation of individual portion-sized dishes.
During research, a yield of 28.8 t/ha was established, which is higher than the figures for the compared samples. The chemical composition of the fruits includes 11.2% soluble solids; the carotene content level is rated at 9 points.
