The term VEGETALE MARROW denotes a group of zucchini varieties cultivated in England since the beginning of the 19th century. This group includes both compact bush forms and plants that form vines up to 2–3 meters long.

Fruits vary from young zucchini at technical maturity to giant specimens weighing from 3 to 10 kg or more. Upon full ripening, they are covered with a thick, hard skin, which ensures long-term storage, and they are often used in giant vegetable growing competitions.
