The hybrid was obtained by crossing Cyclamen persicum and Cyclamen purpurascens using in vitro methods to overcome the incompatibility of the parent forms. Plants of this group possess a heterosis effect, manifesting in increased vigor.

Distinctive features of the hybrids in this breeding program are the presence of a distinct fragrance and increased resistance to Fusarium wilt, inherited from C. purpurascens. Many hybrids obtained during the program demonstrate sterility, which hinders their further reproduction.
