The variety is a seed-propagated hybrid obtained through controlled pollination of parent lines. Unlike traditional varieties propagated vegetatively, this variety is propagated by seeds, which allows overcoming physiological and pathological problems associated with vegetative propagation.

In official UPOV technical protocols, the variety is used as a reference sample for the assessment of morphological characteristics of artichoke. A key distinguishing feature is the thick leaf midrib, measured at a distance of 35 cm from the base. The variety was intended for commercial cultivation in the open field.
