The plant possesses resistance to summer heat and high persistency. The variety is moderately drought-tolerant, but is not recommended for cultivation on saline soils or waterlogged areas with a high water table. Under US conditions, its winter hardiness is rated as lower compared to Bromus inermis or Phleum pratense.
