The variety belongs to the single-flowered dahlia group. The plant forms a bushy habit about 30 cm in height and is characterized by good branching. The inflorescences have a diameter of about 90 mm and a saturated red-purple color, corresponding to shade 60A on the RHS color chart.
A distinctive feature is the contrasting dark, almost black foliage. The variety is a thermophilic perennial; in regions with cold winters, it is cultivated as an annual plant. The flowering period lasts from summer to autumn; the plant is well adapted for ornamental use in gardens and containers.
