The plant forms a dense upright bush 30–45 cm tall, not requiring support. The flowers have a contrasting golden center and are attractive to pollinators.
Flowering is abundant, lasting from early summer until the first frosts. The variety is a half-hardy perennial, sensitive to cold, requiring tubers to be lifted for the winter. In nursery conditions, susceptibility to Botrytis and powdery mildew is possible.
