The Melody Gipsy variety belongs to the group of low-growing border dahlias. The height of the dense and well-branched bush is from 50 to 70 cm. Semi-cactus type inflorescences reach 8–15 cm in diameter and have a coloration in the form of a combination of pink-raspberry or coral-pink tones with a creamy-yellow base of the petals.

The plant is distinguished by long flowering from July until the first autumn frosts and resistance to wind. Used for decorating flower beds, borders, ribbon flower beds, as well as for growing in containers and flower pots. Inflorescences are suitable for cutting. In climates with soil freezing, it requires annual digging up of tubers for the winter.
