The plant is an evergreen shrub with a rounded crown shape. The leathery, glossy leaves are dark green with a wide ivory-colored margin that persists until autumn. The tubular-shaped flowers are gathered in dense inflorescences; the buds are pink, and the open flowers are pale pink and possess a strong aroma.
The variety blooms from January to March. The plant reaches a height of about 1 meter and belongs to USDA hardiness zones 7–9. The variety requires well-drained soil and tolerates transplanting and root system damage poorly. It may suffer from root rots during water stagnation and is also noted for susceptibility to viral infections.
All parts of the plant are poisonous if ingested; the sap may cause irritation to the skin and mucous membranes. The shrub is used in landscape design for creating borders and inclusion in mixed plantings.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
