Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was obtained as a result of breeding work with the 'Brasilia' variety. After the discovery of roots with unusual burgundy spots, a stable variety with purple coloration of the outer surface and cortex was fixed over eight generations through self-pollination and inbreeding.

The root has a narrow inverted triangular or narrowly oblong shape with a slightly pointed tip. The core is orange in color, and its diameter is small relative to the total diameter of the root. The surface is distinguished by marked ribbing. The foliage has a medium degree of dissection and dark green color; the petioles do not have anthocyanin coloration.

The variety belongs to specialized types of carrots; selection during its development was carried out based on the content of terpenoids, beta-carotene, sugars, and textural characteristics.
