The variety belonged to the category of hybrids for early production, specifically for cultivation in the Ispica region in Sicily. It was a Nantes-type (Nantes half-long) variety.

In 2023, the variety was excluded from the list of hybrids approved for the production of Carota Novella di Ispica. The reason was non-compliance with genetic and agronomic standards, including susceptibility to diseases, low productivity, and reduced seed germination.
