Francis carrot variety belongs to late-maturing Flakkee-type varieties. The growing period is from 140 to 170 days. The roots have a conical shape and reach a length of 22–25 cm. The surface is smooth, bright orange, with no tendency for greening of the shoulders or anthocyanin accumulation.

The flesh of the root is dense, sweet, and juicy. The variety is characterized by high resistance to cracking, good keeping quality during storage, and suitability for mechanized harvesting. The usage of the produce is universal: they are suitable for fresh consumption, canning, and juice production.
