Karotan (Karotan RZ F1) is a late-maturing hybrid with a growing period of 150 to 180 days. The plant forms an upright rosette of dark green, medium-dissected leaves.

The root crops have a conical shape with a pointed tip, a length of up to 25 cm, and a diameter of about 5 cm. The color of the cortex and core is dark orange; the weight of one fruit ranges from 120 to 220 g. It is distinguished by resistance to head greening.

The hybrid possesses high resistance to fungal diseases and adverse weather conditions. Due to the high content of dry matter, sugars, and carotene, the fruits are suitable for juice production, freezing, canning, and long-term storage.
