The plant is a low-growing cushion-forming perennial, reaching a height of 12–20 cm with flower stalks up to 25 cm, and a bush width of 25 to 60 cm. The leaves are narrow, linear, and have a glaucous blue or dark green color with a greyish tint.
The flowers, 1.5–2.5 cm in diameter, are bright red or raspberry in color and possess a distinct fragrance. The flowering period occurs from May to July and can last up to one and a half months.
The variety features high winter hardiness, withstanding temperature drops down to -35...-40 °C. The plant is characterized by moderate disease resistance and sensitivity to waterlogged soil. It is used in landscape design for creating alpine gardens, rockeries, and borders.
