The variety forms a compact bush about 40 cm wide with fragrantsemi-double or double flowers. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness and the ability to grow in high-altitude conditions and in the presence of salt in the soil.
Optimal development requires full sun exposure and well-drained neutral or alkaline soils. Like other Dianthus species, the variety can be affected by rust, powdery mildew, Fusarium, and pests, including aphids and slugs.
