The variety is a professional floral crop intended for cut flowers. In production conditions, the plant's flower stalks reach a height of about 70 cm.

The flowers of the variety Betsy are single and large, have a soft pink color, sometimes with slight blue shades. The plant is valued for high vase life.

The modern variety is a specialized object of industrial floriculture. Other historical garden forms may be found under this name in the international register, however, the current market variety belongs to the category of standard carnations.
