The Malaga variety is most often described as a standard cut carnation forming one large flower per stem. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth, reaching a height of about 90 cm at 105 days after planting. In professional cultivation using biostimulants, the stem length reaches 85 cm, and the flower diameter is 6.5 cm. When rooting cuttings, the average root formation rate is 62.5%.

The main purpose of the variety is the production of cut flowers, which are characterized by good transportability and the ability for easy rehydration after transport. The variety requires strict control of soil quality and drainage to avoid infection with phytopathogens. An alternative form of this variety is also found in catalogs — a compact carnation for pots and gardens with a height of 20–30 cm.
