Dieffenbachia variety Sparkle is a compact indoor plant with an upright stem. A characteristic feature is leaves with a light green background and a spotted pattern in the form of "flashes" or splashes of dark green and cream-white colors.

The plant belongs to shade-tolerant crops and prefers diffused light without direct sunlight exposure. The height of an adult specimen can vary from compact sizes up to 90–120 cm.

Like other Dieffenbachia species, the variety contains calcium oxalate crystals that cause irritation of mucous membranes if ingested, which determines the toxicity of the plant if swallowed.
