Variety description

Perennial cormous plant 100 cm tall and 30–65 cm wide. Possesses narrow gray-green grassy leaves that form dense clumps which persist throughout the year. Stems are thin and nodding, yet sturdy.
Flowers are bell-shaped and of a deep lilac-blue shade. The variety is considered conditionally winter-hardy, requires sunny locations protected from strong winds, and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Sensitive to waterlogging and stagnant water, especially in winter.
The plant is used in landscape design for borders, gravel gardens, planting near water bodies provided there is high-quality drainage, or growing in large containers.
