The plant is an evergreen succulent, reaching 15–20 cm in height and width. The leaves are thick and spearhead-shaped. Their color varies from green in the center to an intense purple-red or bronze shade, which intensifies when exposed to sunlight.

The flowering period occurs from February to May; the flowers are bell-shaped and red. The plant is drought-tolerant, sensitive to substrate waterlogging, and requires good lighting to maintain its compact shape and color brightness. It is used as a decorative potted plant or in landscape design.
