The plant forms a dense stemless rosette of fleshy leaves, pointed at the tips. The height of the rosette is usually 8–12 cm, and the diameter varies from 7 to 15 cm. The leaf color is green, and the edges often have a characteristic red or bronze border.

The plant is drought tolerant, but sensitive to waterlogging and prone to rotting if moisture stagnates. Growth is slow. It is used exclusively for decorative purposes for interior landscaping, creating arrangements, and collecting.
