The plant is a succulent with a compact rosette consisting of fleshy, triangular-shaped leaves. The diameter of a mature rosette typically varies from 7 to 20 cm, and the plant height reaches 8–12 cm.

The species is characterized by high drought tolerance and high requirements for soil drainage quality. The plant is not frost-hardy and needs to be kept indoors upon the onset of cold weather.
