The plant is a compact shrub with oval dark green leaves arranged in whorls. Young shoots have a dark red hue; in autumn, the foliage takes on red and orange tones. The flowers are small, bell-shaped, pure white or creamy-white with purple veins, gathered in nodding inflorescences.
Flowering occurs in mid-spring, from April to May. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to diseases and pests. The plant prefers acidic, humus-rich, well-drained, and constantly moist soils; it develops successfully in sunny or slightly shaded areas.
