Variety description

The plant has an upright habit with a spike-like growth type. The bright golden-yellow foliage creates a contrast with the large dark red, sometimes orange-red flowers, which are collected in straight vertical inflorescences.
The variety is late-flowering, the flowering period lasts for more than nine weeks from September to mid-November. The plant is not winter-hardy and dies at sub-zero temperatures, therefore it is used as an annual ornamental crop for balcony boxes, pots, and landscape compositions.
