The plant is an erect shrub with narrow needle-like foliage that retains its ornamental qualities throughout the year. During the flowering period, the variety forms dense inflorescences with large flowers of a dark red shade, located along the shoots.
The variety is used as a container crop, as well as for landscaping balconies and terraces. The plant is valued for the intensity of the flower color and their long-lasting nature, however, the species is not fully winter-hardy in open ground in most regions.
