The plant has a compact habit, its height is 20–30 cm. The leaves are small, needle-like, dark green in color. The inflorescences are spike-shaped, the flowers are pink or dark pink with shades of pink-blue, and their diameter varies from 1 to 10 mm.
The variety is used as a decorative potted plant, suitable for small gardens and rockeries. The plant prefers sunny locations and well-drained peat or sandy soils with a pH level of 4.5–6.5. In the conditions of the middle zone, it is heat-loving and is grown in protected cultivation or as a seasonal potted plant.
