The variety possesses densely leafy, upright shoots with needle-like leaves and elegant bell-shaped flowers of pink coloration. The plant is distinguished by a compact habit, is frequently encountered in pot culture, and is also mentioned as part of commercial plant series.
The flowering period of the variety occurs in the interval from September to December. The plant is not winter-hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -4 °C, therefore in temperate climates it is grown primarily as an annual balcony or pot plant, tolerating pruning well.
The variety finds application in the decorative arrangement of balconies, terraces, and patios, and is also used as an element of floral compositions. There are color variations within the cultivar group, such as a white form.
