A perennial plant with upright branched stems, reaching a height of 80–90 cm with a bush width of up to 45 cm. The leaves are colored silver-green and have a deeply dissected, prickly shape.
Flowers of a saturated violet-blue shade are collected in small head-shaped inflorescences. The variety prefers sunny areas with well-drained soils and is characterized by hardiness in the climatic conditions of the middle zone.
The plant is used in landscape design for decorating mixed borders and flower beds. Due to the decorative nature of the inflorescences, the variety is widely used in floristry as a material for cutting and creating dried flowers.
