The plant reaches a height of 46–56 cm and has narrow, sword-shaped grayish-green leaves. The flowers are gathered in inflorescences and are distinguished by a bright orange-yellow shade.

The variety blooms continuously from early spring to early autumn. The plant prefers full sun or partial shade, tolerates heat well, but requires high-quality drainage to prevent root rot during the winter period. In gardening, it is often cultivated as an annual.
