The plant has an upright bushy habit. Compared to the variety Bowles' Mauve, it is more compact, has shorter and narrower leaf blades, as well as a greater number of flower stalks. The flowers have a sweet fragrance, and their color varies from pale lavender to lilac-purple.

The variety is intended for ornamental landscaping, including use in containers, borders, and rock gardens, and it attracts pollinators. The plant exhibits resistance to diseases and pests, and possesses increased winter hardiness compared to a number of other varieties.
