Variety description

The variety is a compact, densely branching subshrub reaching 35–50 cm in height and width. Leaves are narrow, lanceolate, dark green with a serrated margin.

Flowers are fragrant, lavender-hued, gathered in dense racemose inflorescences. The flowering period occurs from February to June.

The plant prefers sunny sites and well-drained soils with a neutral or alkaline reaction. Winter hardiness is down to -15°C. The variety is used in ornamental gardening for rock gardens, slopes, and flower beds.
